WhatsApp Has Just Released A New App Called “WhatsApp Business”

WhatsApp has officially launched a new app called WhatsApp Business a few days ago. The new app is basically a standalone app from WhatsApp, but works slightly different from the original one, since it’s all about connecting businesses and customers together, rather than connecting family and friends.

WhatsApp Business is set up for small business owners looking to build up their business and network. So you can create a business profile and add little details to it, like your company’s website, where it’s located, contact information and so on and so forth. They also have it where you can message your customers, send them updates and answer any questions that they have through the app’s chat as well, so you can always keep them up to date about any changes or policies.

WhatsApp Business also designed it where the users and the business owners have distinct accounts. A business account with a green checkmark badge means that they’re verified and are an authentic brand. And then if there’s a grey checkmark badge, it indicates that they have the same phone number from their business number, and that it matches with the business they claim to own. And lastly, if it’s a business account with a grey question mark badge on their profile, it means that their account hasn’t been confirmed or verified by WhatsApp. This way, you can easily distinguish who’s who in the business, and if they’re legitimate or not.

WhatsApp Business is currently available for Android users living in the US, UK, Indonesia, Italy, and Mexico, and will likely come out with an iOS version sometime soon later this year.
