Apple uploaded a new ad video featuring the quality lighting effects of Portrait Mode on the iPhone X without being in a studio.  

Apple’s latest promotional ad for the iPhone X features a 38-second video showing multiple clips of Portrait Mode lighting effects which offers a variety of studio effects to users. Apple has provided Portrait Lighting for both the iPhone X and the iPhone 8 Plus, but the iPhone X has dual Portrait Lighting for both the front and rear-facing camera thanks to the TrueDepth lens system. One of the great assets of having Portrait Lighting is it provides depth to create that blurred background effect, without having to use big lenses.

The Portrait Lighting effects offer a variety of Portrait Mode Lighting presets. The feature uses a high tech algorithms to calculate how your facial features will interact with light, this feature helps in creating unique lighting effects. It also offers a variety of Portrait Mode settings to choose from, Natural Light, Studio Light– which assist in lighting up the face, Contour Light – which assist in in adding dramatic shadows, Stage Light – which spotlights the face against dark backgrounds, and last Stage Light Mono- which offers stage-lighting but in black and white.
