Todays the day. In the 1989 film Back to the Future Part II, the characters traveled to the future on Oct. 21, 2015. And while its a shame that we dont have flying cars or a working hoverboard yet, the film correctly predicted some of the technology we use today.
Yes, the writers definitely missed how important the smartphone is in our daily lives, but the film did feature an iPad-like device and even biometric technology like the Touch ID sensor featured on the current-generation of iPads and iPhones.
While technology like virtual reality headsets and drones arent mass market just yet, the future looks bright for those devices.
Even Siri is getting into the action today.
