How To Upgrade To iOS 11 On Your iPhone & iPad
Today is a big day for Apple and its users since iOS 11 and watchOS 4 are being released to the public for the first time.
If you’re excited about the release of Apple’s operating systems, we’ll guide you step-by-step on how to update your devices to iOS 11.
It should be noted that not all devices will be able to run iOS 11, if you have an iPhone 5, 5C or iPad 4 you’re out of luck. This operating system will only support the iPhone 5S or newer, the iPad mini 2 or newer, the iPod Touch 6th Generation, and the iPad 1 and 2.
The best thing you can do before upgrading is to backup your device, you can do this by creating a local backup using iTunes or via iCould by going to Settings > iCloud> Backup and turning on iCloud Backup.
Now that your device is backed up, you can upgrade to iOS 11 by going to Settings > General > Software Update or you can connect your iOS device to a Mac or PC to upgrade to iOS 11 via iTunes.
What does iOS 11 have to offer? In short, iOS 11 will offer augmented reality, better images in Photos and Camera, a redesigned App Store, a smarter and more natural sounding Siri, a peer-to-peer payment feature via Messages, Do Not Disturb While driving, indoor maps of popular malls and airports, and more.
