How To Set-Up Apple Pay Cash On Your Apple Watch

Looking for a fast and easy way to send money to your friends and family? Thanks to Apple’s new Apple Pay Cash, users can send and receive money in a fast and secure way. In this article, we’ll focus on setting up and using Apple Pay Cash via Apple Watch.

In order to use this new feature, you’ll need to make sure your Apple Watch is running watchOS 4.2 and you have an active debit or credit card linked to Apple Pay to send money. It is important to note that if you don’t have Apple Pay set up on your Apple Watch, you don’t have to worry, Apple says that users who don’t have it set up will still be able to receive cash, but you will need it if you want to send money.

How To Set Up Apple Pay Cash

Once you’ve updated to watchOS 4.2, you’ll need to set up Apple Pay Cash on your iPhone (you can read how to do that by clicking here.) After setting up the feature on your iPhone, you should see it as an option in the Messages app and Wallet app on your Apple Watch.

While you’re in Messages, you should see the Apple Pay button at the bottom of the screen. If you tap it, you will be able to change the amount of money you want to send. Once you tap pay, you will be prompted to double-click the side button to send the payment.

If you happen to receive money, you can check your Apple Pay Cash Card balance in the Wallet app and use the cash you received to make a purchase anywhere Apple Pay is accepted.

This feature is currently available for U.S. users who have an iPhone SE, iPhone 6 or newer, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 or newer, iPad Pro, iPad (5th gen) and Apple Watch. Apple plans on rolling this feature out to users worldwide in the future.
