Daily challenges are now available with Autodesk SketchBook

Autodesk SketchBook, the sketching, drawing, and painting app catering to all skill levels, has received an update bringing an awesome new feature for inspiration called Sketch This. Basically, Sketch This offers daily challenges you can tackle to explore new skills.

With the intent to assist artists in trying new techniques and exploring uncharted waters in the sea of creativity, the daily challenges will offer a variety of formats, drawing styles, and subject matters. Here are the three types of challenges you can enjoy:

  • Timed challenges which test you to complete your drawing within the time limit.
  • Template challenges which have you starting with a pre-determined template or image.
  • Multi-level challenges which continue to unlock new challenges as you complete your drawings.

Get inspiration and exposure

Each of the challenges will be explained, possibly including a video clip, and include drawings shared by the DeviantArt community. So, you can take a look at what others have created for additional ideas and inspiration. Participating in the challenges not only helps you to learn, explore, and try something new, but also gives you great exposure. From the announcement:

When you submit your work to DeviantArt from Sketch This, your finished piece will be automatically included in SketchBook under the gallery for the challenge you completed. It also becomes eligible to be featured in special wrap-up journals on DeviantArt, as well as in social posts from SketchBook and DeviantArt.
