Check Out Campus 2’s Latest Progress In New Drone Flyover Video
Known as the “Spaceship” or the ‘Ring,” Apple’s Campus 2 project was updated in a new progress video, which was captured by a drone, and reveals a lot of structural progress. Apple will open the second campus near the end of 2016 or early 2017.
As of now, the team only has 10 months to go until construction is complete. But, while we wait for it to be finished, a new flyover video reveals the most recent progress that the construction team has completed so far. We see rapid progress with the main Campus 2 building and several auxiliary buildings, including the underground auditorium, the visitor’s center, and the Tantau addition, where R&D procedures will take place.
As always, drone flyer Duncan Sinfield has shared his latest video of Campus 2’s progress, which will mark his first for the month of February, and shows considerable progress throughout the video. The last video that the drone flyer made came out last month during January.
You can check out Sinfield’s most recent February video, which shows the latest progress the construction team is making with the Campus 2 and other auxiliary buildings.
As seen above, most of the exterior is nearing completion, cranes are lifting parts of the main roof into position on the Campus 2’s rooftop, while the underground auditorium will soon be attached. The video also reveals the attachment of a newly placed solar array to one of the left of the two parking structures.
Once completed, Apple’s Campus 2 will include the 2.8 million square feet ring-shaped building, and will also include different parking structures, a 100,000 square foot fitness center, a 120,000 square foot auditorium, and a dedicated visitor’s center, which will be surrounded by a lot of lush landscaping and trees.
Apple will open the second campus near the end of 2016 or early 2017.
