BetterStatusBar9 is a jailbreak tweak that allows users to hide/unhide the status bar at the top of the screen. This fixes the problem of having to go back to the Home screen or invoking the Notification Center during full-screen mode on your iOS device.
The latest tweak that allows users to view the Status bar by swiping down from the top of the screen is called BetterStatusBar9. Without this jailbreak tweak, it would show the Notification Center grabber when swiping from the top of the screen, but with this tweak installed you will see the Status bar instead. Moreover, it will stay at the top of the screen for a short amount of time before it goes back, which the timer on that cannot be changed.
You can still launch the Notification Center by swiping down again from the top of the screen when the Status bar is shown. In addition, the tweak comes with a dedicated preference pane that only features a single configuration switch, which is a toggle switch that enables or disables the tweak on demand.
Lastly, if you always wanted a better way of viewing the Status bar when in a full-screen app then BetterStatusBar9 is a good tweak to consider.
You can get this jailbreak tweak BetterStatusBar9 for $0.99 in the Big Boss repo.
