Apple has just updated its iMovie video editing app to version 2.2.1.
The major addition is 4K video support for iPad Air 2 users running iOS 9.1. With the app, those tablet users can create and share videos featuring the 3840 by 2160 resolution.
An update in September brought the same capability to the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and upcoming iPad Pro.
Here are the rest of the changes:
Fixes an issue that could prevent users from creating new trailers in some languages
Resolves issues importing and removing projects from iCloud Drive
Addresses interface issues that could appear in some right-to-left languages
Addresses interface issues that could appear in iMovie extension for Photos
Performance and stability improvements
You can download iMovie now on the App Store. Its a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. Its free if youve purchased an iOS device since late September 2013. Otherwise, it will set you back $4.99.
