Apple Rumored To Produce A Triple Lens Rear Camera iPhone Next Year

Rumors have surfaced that Apple could produce an iPhone with a triple lens rear camera, which could debut in 2019.

The latest talk has it that Apple could be following the lead of Huawei, the world second largest phone maker, by producing a triple lens rear camera on one of its iPhones next year. One rumor states the iPhone may sport a 12-megapixel rear lens with a 5x zoom, another rumor states the iPhone camera could have a 6P lens with a 5x zoom. It’s not clear if the P is pertaining to optical, digital, or hybrid zoom.

Huawei’s new P20 Pro already has a three-lens rear camera system, which includes a primary 40-megapixel ƒ/1.8 lens,  a 20-megapixel ƒ/1.6 monochrome lens, and an 8-megapixel ƒ/2.4 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

To add to the rumor list, talk has it that Apple’s iPhone X third-generation could be the one to sport the triple lens. The iPhone X and the iPhone 8 Plus both already come with a dual 12-megapixel rear camera, a 2x optical zoom, and 10x digital zoom.
