Two of the most popular New Year’s resolutions are to lose weight and exercise more. To help people achieve those resolutions, Apple has added a new challenge for Apple Watch users that will start January 1.
According to MacRumors, Apple has added a new challenge for Apple Watch users to get moving in the year 2017. The “Ring in the New Year” achievement starts today within the Activity apps. In order for users to earn this achievement they must close all three Activity rings every day for an entire week in January. Those who partake in the challenge will receive special stickers in the Messages app.
Back in November, Apple launched a Turkey Trot-style 5K. Users had to complete a 5K either through walking or running on Thanksgiving Day to earn a special award.
These challenges are a great way to keep people motivated and active through their fitness journey. It wouldn’t be surprising if Apple decides to continue adding special events like this throughout the year as a fun reminded to stay active.
