The Apple Watch Series 2 is the first Apple Watch that is actually swim proof, which means it can be submerged to 50 meters.
Apple has set up a series of seven short commercials called “The Gift Of Go,” each one highlighting the strong points of the Apple Watch Series 2. Each commercial starts off with a person being presented with an Apple Watch Series 2 as a gift. The first ad called “Go Surf” shows the person placing the watch on their wrist, and the person going for a surf, the next ad “Go Ride” shows a person placing the watch on their wrist, and going off in the night for a fast pace bike ride, “Go Play” shows the person placing the Apple Watch on their wrist, and joining others for a night of fast pace soccer playing. “Go Run” shows a person taking a fast sprint through a city, the next ad “Go Out” shows a person out on a rainy night, and the Apple Watch is drenched from the heavy rains, the last one, “Go Dance” demonstrates the fast movement of a dancer wearing the Apple Watch Series 2.
Each short segment coincide with the holiday season regarding gift giving, the message Apple is trying to relate is give an Apple Watch Series 2 as a gift this season. It should be noted that the OLED touchscreen is not operable when submerged.
