Recent reports are stating that Apple may release three iPhones for 2018, one of the devices could feature a 6.1-inch display with LCD.
The latest talk has it that Apple could release a 6.1-inch iPhone that comes with the traditional LCD display, instead of the OLED display. Reports also state that the device could also feature a metal back that could come in several colors. Another source also stated the device could be manufactured by Casetek, which is a Pegaton subsidiary.
KGI Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes Apple will introduce three iPhones in 2018, one which could be the LCD 6.1-inch with a metal back, a 5.8-inch OLED model, and the current iPhone X, which could be called the iPhone X Plus, and could be either a 6.2-inch or 6.3-inch model with an LCD display.
Kuo went on to state he believes all three models will feature a full-screen edge-to-edge design and a TrueDepth camera system very similar to the current iPhone X. He also believes the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will be marketed as the more affordable mid-range iPhone, having a lower resolution. As 2017 closes, and the new year approaches, look forward to hearing more rumors, talks, and news on Apple’s upcoming 2018 iPhones.
