In this guide, we will teach users how to use the latest jailbreak tweak Point-And-Shoot. This new tweak lets any jailbroken iPhone 6s or 6s Plus frame or take photos from the Home screen by using 3D Touch.
The new tweak, Point-And-Shoot, enhances the stock 3D Touch shortcuts for the app with live camera viewfinder placed directly on the Home screen. From here, you can use the Home screen to frame your shots and take photos quickly.
Once you are done installing the tweak on your iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, you will need to go to the stock Settings and configure Point-And-Shoot’s preferences. While inside of the tweak’s settings, you will need to enable Multiple Photo Shooting, and automatic camera display.
In addition, if you have auto display turned on, the tweak will override the normal 3D Touch shortcut options, and present the viewfinder overlay immediately. Otherwise, it is better to use the normal 3D Touch shortcuts to launch the “Take Photo” or “Take Selfie” action instead. Moreover, users can always tap the Camera app to launch the full app as well.
Below is some of the gestures you can use with this tweak:
- Double tap to flip the camera input from Selfie to Backside
- Long press to auto focus the camera
- Tap off the camera to dismiss the viewfinder
- Drag the opposite corner of the icon to resize it
- Single tap to take a photo with flash being automatic.
Lastly, Point-And-Shoot will work on older iPhones, but only if you have a tweak like Forcy installed on your older iOS device. Forcey allows older iPhones to emulate 3D Touch effects.
