The Apple Retail Store in Ginza, Tokyo, cancelled an event on Sunday after receiving a bomb threat. The store was set to host an event with a number of guests, but it was called off after the store received a letter which threatened an attack if the event was not cancelled.

From The Japan Times:

The police are investigating the incident as a case of alleged forcible obstruction of business. The letter was delivered to the store at around 11 a.m. Sunday. According to the police and other sources, the event, to be joined by guests including film director Isao Yukisada, was slated to start at 2 p.m.

After receiving the letter, in addition to calling off the event the store halted all operations for about an hour while the threat was investigated. Police found no suspicious objects during their search.
