On Tuesday, Apple updated their website to show official Lightning-to-USB Camera Adapter support for iPhones. This means that it’s official that it extends past support for iPads, and now for iPhones.
In addition, the Lightning-to-USB Camera Adapter has a price tag of $29, and supports every iPhone model from the 5 through the new 6s and 6s Plus. Furthermore, iPad compatibility stretches from the first Retina iPad all the way to the new iPad Pro.
Moreover, when iPhones received support, the company didn’t make mention of this feature until today on their online store. Apple also announced on the same day that a Lightning-to-SD Card Camera Reader also brings USB 3.0 speeds when connected to the new iPad Pro.
Adding iPhone support to camera accessories is said to be an acknowledgment to larger screens and storage space, which makes iPhones more practical for storing photos, particularly when traveling and going out.
